MITE Student Awards

The executive/board of directors and the general membership of the Mid Island Truck and Equipment Association have established a $3,000.00 MITE Educational Financial Award.

This money is distributed as follows: $500.00 to SD 69 - Parksville/Qualicum, $500.00 - Malaspina University, $2,000.00 - SD68 Nanaimo/Ladysmith (4 awards of $500.00 each). The awards are presented to students who are pursuing a career path in the Transportation and Construction Industry.

The members have recognized that there is an ongoing need for trades training in the various areas of the transportation and construction fields and want to contribute to the growth of a local student who has shown an interest in pursuing a career in this area.

Preference will be given to children or grandchildren of MITE members, if no members dependents apply, it will then be awarded to any student who has demonstrated an interest in the area of study. Dependents of MITE members may apply for any course of study.

If you wish to nominate a deserving student please contact any member of the MITE executive/board of directors. Please note this award is non-gender specific.

Proof of registration from a post secondary institution is required prior to the release of funds.
